Dressed up boulder style

Boulder, CO – A town known for athletes and weirdos…sometimes in the same package. In tribute to my town I’ve created this new fashion style that I officially coin ‘yoga pop’. If you haven’t noticed, yoga pants are replacing denim as the go-to casual pant. I’m always a bit hesitant to show off my 45 year old backside so I like the idea of pairing my leggings with long jackets or jersey skirts and dresses.

I was so excited to find these fun aqua lace Shovava leggings at ARC for $1. They currently retail for 62.50 and are hand-painted and digitally printed in Australia. They really stand out in crowded yoga studio or just walking down the street.

On a whimsy, I paired the leggings with this gorgeous fire-engine red jersey cotton wrap dress by Issa London for Banana Republic. This red jersey wrap dress gives hourglass shaping even on the most athletic builds. It has a feminine eyelet opening at the top and zips up the backside.

I found this dress at the ARC on South Broadway in Denver for $4 during a half-price Saturday sale. This particular ARC is the closet to downtown Denver and always carries the most amazing women’s clothing collection. Last week I found two Leifnotes dresses from Anthropologie. During their $1 sweater sale, I had the most amazing time trying on sweaters and came home with 15 different cashmere and luxury sweaters by Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, Eileen Fisher and more.

Of course I had to pair the perfect boot with this ensemble. These buttery soft Italian leather boots are from L’Autre Chose. For sale now in my eBay store – offers are considered! I love the look of thigh high leather boots with spring and summer skirts, especially for the practical reasons like … don’t need to worry if I have elephant knees or did I shave those elephant knees recently???
